Islamic Beliefs 4, taught by Sayed Mohammad Baqer Qazwini, examines beliefs concerning the Day of Judgment and the afterlife. The course explores the events and realities associated with the Hereafter, including Reckoning, Sirat, Heaven, Hell, and related theological questions, drawing on Qur'anic verses, hadith, and Islamic teachings. The Day of Judgment and Reckoning
The course begins with Hesaab (Reckoning) and examines several important aspects of the Day of Judgment, including the books of deeds, the testimony of body parts, and Sirat. It also discusses A'raaf and Hawdh (the Pool of Kawthar) and their place in Islamic beliefs about the Hereafter.
Heaven and Its Blessings
Several sessions explore descriptions of Heaven (Jannah), including its gates, trees, rivers, palaces, rooms, and furnishings. The course also discusses the food, drinks, and other blessings of Heaven, as well as the subject of heavenly spouses and Hour al-Ein. One session considers the question of whether animals go to Heaven.
Hell and Eternal Punishment
The final part of the course focuses on Hell and its punishment. It examines Qur'anic verses describing the Fire of Hell, hadith concerning Hell, and the concept of eternal punishment. The course also includes a reflective discussion on the spiritual effect of contemplating the punishment of Hell and concludes with the question, "Do the Shia Enter Hell?"
