To expand access to Quranic education for all segments of society, Hojjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Sayyid Mahdi Sajjad, an expert educator and preacher serving the deaf community, met with officials at Imam Sadiq Academy. The consultation focused on developing and implementing specialized curricula designed specifically for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
During the visit, the Academy’s existing educational capabilities and specialized content production methodologies for deaf learners were reviewed, emphasizing the importance of addressing the specific learning needs of this community when designing and delivering courses. Furthermore, key educational requirements of deaf audiences were discussed, and necessary coordination was established.

A central focal point of these discussions was the production of a cohesive, specialized Tajweed course for the deaf and hard of hearing. In this regard, the course structure, curriculum editing methodology, and instructional delivery techniques were thoroughly examined to ensure the program is produced and presented in a structured format tailored to the target audience's learning levels.
Following these preparations, production officially launched on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, marking the International Day of Deaf Persons. Recording for the introductory module began at Imam Sadiq Academy under the instruction of Ustadh Sayyid Mahdi Sajjad. Designed with a tailored curriculum, the series focuses on teaching fundamental Tajweed principles to novice deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

This course represents the initial step in producing specialized Islamic educational content for the deaf and hard of hearing, framed within the broader strategic initiatives of Imam Sadiq Academy.
