درباره این دوره
This in-depth course on Tawḥīd and the Divine Attributes, taught by the esteemed scholar Dr. Sheikh Muhammad Hussein Rajabian, offers a systematic and intellectually rigorous exploration of Islamic theology from the perspective of Twelver Shia thought. Presented by Imam Sadiq Academy, this course lays a strong foundation by examining Tawḥīd not only as belief in the oneness of God, but as a comprehensive theological principle that informs faith, ethics, and human purpose. Drawing on Qur’anic evidence, rational argumentation, and classical Shia scholarship, the course provides a clear and structured understanding of divine unity.
A major focus of the course is the study of the Divine Attributes (al-Ṣifāt al-Ilāhiyyah), their meanings, classifications, and theological implications. Students are introduced to key divisions such as essential (dhātiyyah) and active (fiʿliyyah) attributes, as well as affirmative and negative attributes. The course carefully explains how Shia theology affirms God’s attributes without compromising divine simplicity or falling into anthropomorphism, emphasizing the harmony between intellect and revelation in understanding the transcendent nature of God.
Another central pillar of the course is the discussion of Divine Justice (ʿAdl), one of the fundamental principles of Shia belief. Dr. Rajabian explores justice as both a divine attribute and a rational necessity, addressing critical issues such as human free will, moral accountability, divine wisdom, and the problem of evil. Classical theological debates are presented with clarity, enabling learners to understand the distinctive Shia position in contrast to other theological schools.
Hosted by Imam Sadiq Academy (www.imamsadiq.ac), this course is designed for students of Islamic studies and intellectually curious seekers alike. Through scholarly depth and precise explanations, it equips learners with the conceptual tools needed to engage confidently with core theological questions surrounding God, His attributes, and His justice within Shia Islam.
