The Sunnah of the Prophet or the Sunnah of Caliphs?!!

Sunni scholars narrate a hadith from the Prophet of God (صلى اللّه عليه وآله) in which he states:

"علیكم بسنّتي وسنّة الخلفاء الراشدين"

"Hold fast to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the Rightly Guided Caliphs!"

They have recorded this hadith in their most esteemed books, and many of them have classified it among their most authentic narrations…

Furthermore, this hadith has been utilized as a justification for past rulings and as a pretext for subsequent actions and events.

The book that is introduced in this course critically examines and analyzes this hadith—a hadith that emphasizes the obligation of obeying rulers and following the tradition of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, even if their governance and practices contradict the principles of Islamic law.

In this work, we have conducted a comprehensive and meticulous investigation into this hadith, scrutinizing it with academic rigor. Now, a valuable resource is presented before researchers, whose benefits are evident to seekers of truth.

This book is the outcome of dedicated effort and scholarly inquiry, which I present to those engaged in the study of religion, while being fully aware that Allah knows my intentions.
