Delegation from Imam Sadiq Academy Meets with Ustadh Sheikh Hassan Safi Golpayegani

On October 18, 2026, a delegation of officials from Imam Sadiq Academy visited Sheikh Hassan Safi Golpayegani in Qom. During the meeting, the delegation introduced the Academy's institutional capabilities and presented a comprehensive report detailing its objectives, programs, and ongoing initiatives—alongside those of Second Chance Books Organization—in the field of translating and publishing Islamic literature globally.

During the audience, Sheikh Hassan Safi Golpayegani commended the academic and religious initiatives undertaken by young scholars (tullab) of the Qom Seminary in Western countries—particularly in North America and Europe. He hailed these efforts as a major accomplishment and an exemplary manifestation of dedication (jihad) in propagating the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.).

Recalling the long-standing aspirations of senior Shi'i authorities and Grand Maraji'—most notably Grand Ayatollah Boroujerdi and his late father, Grand Ayatollah Safi Golpayegani, regarding the global propagation of true Islam—he described the independent international presence of young seminary scholars as a source of pride and a clear testament to the dynamic vitality of the Islamic seminaries.

Addressing the continuous wave of misrepresentation and hostile propaganda aimed at Islamic teachings, Sheikh Hassan Safi Golpayegani emphasized the necessity of answering doubts, thoroughly understanding target audiences, and articulating the inherent beauty of the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.). In this context, he recalled the renowned narration from Imam Ridha (a.s.): ‘If people were to come to know the beauty of our words, they would undoubtedly follow us.’ (إنّ الناسَ لو عَلِموا مَحاسِنَ کَلامِنا لاَتَّبَعونا).

In another segment of his address, criticizing false claims and prevalent deviations, Sheikh Hassan Safi Golpayegani affirmed that the true worth of a religious scholar lies in genuine service to the people, continuous intellectual effort, and the fulfillment of the obligation to enjoin good and forbid evil. He evaluated the initiatives of Imam Sadiq Academy and its affiliated institutions—including Second Chance Books—as being directly aligned with this solemn responsibility.
