This online live course aims to expose the false claimants to being the Promised Mahdi and their deceptive tactics in misleading believers. Throughout history, various individuals have falsely claimed to be Imam al-Mahdi (عجل الله تعالی فرجه) in order to manipulate the faith and trust of sincere followers. In this course, we will analyze some of the most prominent impostors, such as Ahmad al-Hassan, Mahdi Sudani, Abdullah al-Hashemi (Black Banners and the new Ahmadiyyah religion), and the Babiyya movement.
The course will be divided into three sessions, each lasting one hour. The first session will provide an overview of the concept of Imam al-Mahdi (عجل الله تعالی فرجه) in Shi'a theology and explain the characteristics that define his true reappearance. We will explore how certain opportunists exploit this belief for personal or political gain.
The second session will delve into specific cases of false Mahdis, studying their claims, ideologies, and deceptive strategies. We will critically analyze their misuse of Islamic texts and their impact on followers, shedding light on their contradictions and inconsistencies.
The third session will focus on how to protect ourselves and our communities from such misleading figures.
