garebaan chaak hai baalon me khaake karbobala
talaash karte hai rasta nazar nhi aata
yeh haal dekhke haste hai sheh par ahle jafa
behan ke kaandhon par kul kainaat laate hai
kadam kadam par yeh aawaaz dete jaate hai

laa raha hu main lasha-e-akbar

bole honge hussain yeh rokar

1) naujawan laash hai zaeefi hai
meri nazron se dekh manzar ko
kaise humsheer ko sambhalunga
main sambhale hue hu akbar ko
tera ehsaan hoga yeh mujhpar

2) uske seene se leke naame ali
maine barchi abhi nikaali hai
imtehaan de chuki meri gurbat
ab teri bebasi ki baari hai
tu bhi is waqt yaa ali kehkar

3) do nageene the iski godi me
dono akbar pe kar diye sadka
sabr aisa ke apne beton par
maine rota ise nahi dekha
hai magar ab yeh lasha-e-akbar

4) rok rakha hai apne ashkon ko
sabse chup chup ke aaahein bharti hai
main samjhta hu maadare akbar
teri mamta pe jo guzarti hai
rakhke apne kaleje pe patthar

5) aise lashe jawaa'n uthaaye hun
aidiyaan khat banati aati hai
inn nishaano ko peeche-peeche mere
amma zahra mitati aati hai
uski nazrein na dekhe yeh manzar

6) aye "takallum" woh shaam-o-kufa ka
taiy hua hoga is tarah se safar
Amma zainab sambhalna maa ko
kehte honge sina se yeh akbar
aur hoga hussain ke lab par...
