关于
Al-Hujjah Islamic Seminary is an English-language Shia Islamic seminary established under the leadership of the Islamic Institute of America. The seminary is committed to making the study of Islamic sciences accessible to English-speaking students through a structured educational program rooted in the scholarly tradition of the Ahl al-Bayt (a).
The curriculum covers a broad range of Islamic disciplines, including Islamic beliefs and theology, Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh, Qur’anic sciences and Tafsir, Hadith, Rijal studies, Arabic language, Nahjul Balagha, Islamic history, and the lives of the Prophet Muhammad (s) and the Ahl al-Bayt (a). Students may enroll in individual courses according to their interests or pursue a more systematic path through the recommended curriculum.
The faculty brings together traditional Shia scholarship and contemporary academic experience, with instructors who have received formal training in seminaries such as those in Qom and Najaf. This academic background enables the study of classical Islamic sources and disciplines in a clear and accessible English-language setting.
Courses are offered online, allowing students in different locations to study Islamic sciences with greater flexibility. Prior knowledge of Arabic is not required for the English-language courses, while selected areas of study provide an opportunity to become familiar with Arabic and the terminology of traditional Islamic scholarship.
Al-Hujjah Islamic Seminary seeks to provide a structured environment for the serious study of Shia Islam and to help students develop a deeper understanding of the Qur’an, the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (s), and the intellectual and spiritual heritage of the Ahl al-Bayt (a).
